I had the privilege of being asked to attend the Sudden Unexplained Infant Death Investigation (SUIDI) and Death Scene Re-enactment Training Course in February 2023. This was led by Kevin Cleghorn-Saline County Coroner and President of the Arkansas Coroner’s Association. I was able to share my story and educate the attendees about Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). Below is a video that captured the events of that day.

LUNCH & LEARN OPPORTUNITIES
Early February 2023 we hosted our first Lunch & Learn at CHI St. Vincent Primary & Community Care Clinic, Hot Springs, Arkansas. We provided education on SUDC and received positive feedback. Dr. Slay is an Internal Medicine Provider and Pediatrician. He also teaches Residents and Interns who complete rotations in his clinic as well.
The end of March 2023 we hosted our second Lunch & Learn at Henley Pediatrics, Hot Springs, Arkansas. Emy was seen by both providers there. We received more feedback on our education efforts and information we provided to them.
If you are in Central Arkansas and interested in more information regarding our Lunch & Learns, or if you would like us to schedule one with your hospital, clinic, community health event, business, etc., please complete and submit the form below.
SUDC AWARENESS MONTH MONTH 2023
Every year since 2016, the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) Foundation leads efforts to raise awareness around the world. This year our foundation joined efforts full force to help raise #SUDCAwareness! The SUDC Foundation featured efforts for each week through the month of March. We helped raise awareness here in Arkansas. Please visit the SUDC Foundation website for more information about SUDC Awareness Month and the results across the world!
I had the honor and privilege to participate in assisting with getting our Proclamation signed in Arkansas for 2023! This is an annual effort. We are so appreciative to Governor Sanders for signing!
